Loving my Peonies

                   Hello everyone,
We had a quite a weekend here as Arthur (a tropical storm )
passed through . I am happy to say our garden
did pretty good but we lost a big tree in our driveway
and some big branches off other trees by the driveway.
We lost our power for several hours as well. We were
on drier side and hardly got any rain though ~but wind!

It did play havoc with trees around the Island
and a sail boat sunk in the harbor but it could
have been a lot worse for sure.

Anyway, lets enjoy the beauty of some
      of my peony bouquets.These photos
were all taken in the boathouse.

I bought this antique vase in a hospice
                                                               shop in Florida.

Don't you just love peony season?

I love the beauty of them but also
the fragrance!

Thanks for visiting and for the lovely
comments and emails on our garden.

                                      Carolyn

  1. I adore peonies, and mine have long since bloomed. The coolness and peace of the pink is so pretty.

  6. Glad you got through the storm with few casualties.
We have just one peony in our garden, inherited from the previous owner. It just has one or two blooms per year.
Caroline, I wanted to email you but my computer won't let me for some reason. I just want to say thank you for writing your beautiful blog. I'm going through a dark patch at the moment and your blog is a ray of sunshine that's helping me. Thank you. Love, Andi xx

  8. Carolyn:

Your peonies are gorgeous. Mine didn't survive the rain.

Happy that Arthur didn't bother you too much.

I thought of you and your garden when I was watching Arthur's path. So glad you didn't have too much damage.

  12. I want to LIVE in our boathouse! It is so serene and calm and inviting. I could take every photo you posted today and frame it and put it up on my wall... maybe to inspire me to have a bedroom like your boathouse! Thank you for sharing your lovely peonies too... where I live we can't have much of a garden as we have freezing temperatures at night, even through the summer. I absolutely love your photos and wonderful flowers.
